Electricians!

Wanted to let everyone know that digital rewards of The Switch, Daybreak #1, Daybreak #2, Microscopic #1 and Cuda #1 have been released from their cages and you should all have codes from Backerkit to download your respective rewards in your inbox. If you have any issues, just contact [email protected] and someone will get you sorted.

I thought our designer, the great Phil Smith (who designs many of the Dreadstar projects I'm involved with, among other books) did a tremendous job pulling this new edition of The Switch: Electricia together. It's taken a little longer than intended as Phil and I have gone back and forth and forth and back to get things perfect but I'm very happy with the final product and hope you are too! 

The print files have been delivered to our printer and I'm in communication with them to figure out an exact ETA for everyone to get their books.  I'm a little cautious that because it took a little longer to pull the book together, we'll have missed our print window and will be rescheduled. I'll keep you posted on that but my suspicion is we'll be looking at early April for the fulfillment at this point. 

Which I HATE, believe me, and I'll be trying to get this campaign closed out by end of March. 

I'll be sure to share the proofs of everything when they arrive at New Pain HQ. Keep an eye out!

Electricians!

A quick note to ask that if you haven't filled out your survey yet (and 34 of you haven't), we're going to be locking print orders at the end of the week.  Now would be a great time to complete yours, know what I'm saying? 

While I've got your attention...

Friend of New Pain Karl Kesel launched the campaign for his newest Impossible Jones project with David Hahn,  IMPOSSIBLE JONES AND AMERICAN A.N.G.E.L. this morning.  I would imagine many of you Electricians are already aware and planning to back because come on, who doesn't love Karl Kesel? The guy is adorable! But (more importantly in this case) he and David are masterful storytellers and all the Impossible Jones books to date have been great reads.  So CHECK IT OUT and tell him New Pain sent you!

By the way, there's a rumor that Impossible Jones and Daybreak will be somehow crossing over next month when the timing of their two campaigns overlap.  Something to look forward to there (at least for me!).

Electricians!

The smoke test seems to have passed muster so the remaining 95% of backers that didn't get their surveys yesterday should stand by! The balance of the surveys will be going out this afternoon. 

I'm still waiting for a proof of the new edition of The Switch from our designer, as well as the digital reward PDF. Both should be coming in shortly. We're anticipating releasing digital rewards in about 10 days, around the same time as orders will be locked down, and physical rewards should be fulfilled the following week.  If those targets shift due to factors beyond my control, you'll be kept in the loop. So far, everything seems like sailing on the smoothest of seas, knock on wood.

Keep an eye out for those surveys.

Please keep an eye on your email boxes.  The Backerkit smoke test has been initiated which means that 5% of you will be getting their surveys today. As long as no unexpected issues pop up, the remainder of the surveys will be sent in roughly 24 hours.

Moving along!

Howdy, Electricians!

Wanted to keep all of you in the loop as to how Electricia's journey is moving along. 

Everything is running nice and smooth, knock on wood. Kickstarter transferred the funds earlier this week. Tom, Robb and I pulled together some great behind-the-scenes sketchbook material and Phil Smith (our designer) is adding to the trade and will have a digital proof ready for review shortly. The Backerkit surveys have been submitted for feedback and approval. Pending that review, we'll be sending the surveys out next week and expect the project to be fulfilled by the end of March. We're excited to get this new edition of The Switch out to you guys and fingers are tightly crossed everything goes according to plan. 

In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the new back cover designed by myself and Robb Miller (mostly Robb, to be honest).

We will keep you posted as things develop further, as always New Pain shoots for complete transparency at all times. 

And if you are looking for another great project to back, don't sleep on  THE GOLDEN YEARS, down to the final few days of its campaign.
